I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team 312 Bumblebee

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team 312 Bumblebee

Did you know that 175,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U. S., one in five will not survive. I want to change that, so I'm raising money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Many of you know that for nearly the past 5 years I have had the distinct honor of being a den leader & Cubmaster of Pack 312 from Pulaski Road School in East Northport, NY. I have had the opportunity to teach such a wonderful program of values and lessons to my son and many other amazing young boys that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. In March, my son Louis will be crossing over and becoming a Boy Scout and I will be moving on with him to his troop of choice. As this is my last year as Cubmaster, I am getting the Pack involved with the St Baldricks foundation event that takes place in March. On a personal note, next January 17th is the 20th anniversary of my twin sister’s passing from ovarian cancer at the very young age of 22. Everyone that knew her..... loved her and her infectious laugh. Her love for life still can be felt today. Sadly, cancer will effect us all one way or another. I have lost many family & friends to this horrendous disease. Many keep fighting the fight and the lucky few have conquered the battle. As a worldwide community we can do an amazing job raising an enormous amount of money for childhood cancer research. I am planning on getting the media involved to bring awareness to our cause and you can bet 1000% that I will be right in line with every Scout, parent, child, and family member willing to shave their heads. With your help we can all champion this event to make it all that more successful. As I mentioned, it is the 20th year of her passing and I truly "BELIEVE" with your help we can raise $20,000. I would be completely honored and humbled by your generosity and involvement as your sons Cubmaster, a parent, and friend. I can not think of a better way to serve... “Doing a Good Deed” by raising money to help save young children's lives. We used to call my sister Nancy ....Nanny Banny Bumblebee. So in memory of Nancy and to recognize the dedication of my young Scouts we are naming our team...... TEAM 312 - BUMBLEBEE
