I am shaving my head this March to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to fund lifesaving childhood cancer research. I am doing it in honor of Lily. She is my very good friend's 5 year old daughter who was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer late this summer and who is currently in treatment. I am also doing it in memory of Colton. Colton was 2 years old when he was diagnosed with the same type of cancer Lily is now suffering from. Colton lost his 2.5 year fight this past September. Now I am more motivated than ever to do what I can to help find a cure. This cancer has impacted our friends and their loved ones. Children should not have to spend their childhood in a hospital going through rounds and rounds of chemo. I spent a heartbreaking day with my friend and her daughter in Madison while getting her second round of chemo. To watch this take place and knowing she has so much more to endure for just a shot at surviving is truly eye opening. I cant imagine what the child and parents go through. And a parent should never have to mourn the loss of their child. Check out my page and make a donation today! Thank you!
