I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

On August 1st of this year, my youngest daughter, Mary Rose, was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was the most surreal thing to ever happen to me. I was immediately surrounded by doctors, medical lingo and explanations of treatments and side effects. My daughter was healthy at 10 am when we walked into our pediatrician's office to update her immunizations and by 8 pm we were being instructed on where I could take a shower while she was in the hospital for the next 30 days. It was crazy! Although, we are just starting our journey, I cannot imagine the pain that other families go through when the outcome of their tests are not as optimistic as ours. We were one of those families who took for granted having healthy children. We never thought this would happen to us, so now, I challenge you to give generously. The child you save may be your own! Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
