You read that right, I'm going bald to help Cancer Kids! Through the years, I've watched my own daughter suffer through chemo, and now live with the permanent toll it took on her body. Feel free to learn about Avalon's journey at www.avalonsarmyofangels.com .
The years have also brought heartache as we've had to join friends in saying farewell to their own miracles, who were as loved and adored as Avalon is. I'm not losing hair. I'm gaining a tiny bit of power over this dreadful disease, as I stand up and fight for Rachel, Eden, Mason, and all the other kids who have left their families too soon.
I'm not going bald, I'm going pro-active - helping to fight for better and gentler cures. I'm not losing hair - I'm gaining hope for the families that will follow us down the path of fire. Please join me in reaching out to those families the best way I know how, through support of research and the search for an end to the nightmare. Please help me help "my kids".
Sincerely,
Nick Evans, proud father of Warrior Avalon - who faced down the Cancer Beast - and won.
