Dear Family and Friends,
The Fischer Boys are shaving their heads again! Sunday, March 10th at Ballydoyle in Aurora, IL
One of our very good friends, Hannah Brazendale, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in September 2007. She was in treatment for 2.5 years and finished in January 2010.
She is now in 2nd grade (like Luke) and is doing great and we are so very thankful for her health.
Her big brother Luke (age 10)(our good buddy), has been a St. Baldrick participant for four years now.
He likes to participate because it is something he can do to show that he supports his sister and childhood cancer research.
Last year, Luke shaved his head and we raised over $1000 for St. Baldricks thanks to all of you, for your support and your generous donations!
This year, both Jack and Luke will be shaving their heads. And boy are they shaggy!! Jack even lets me put gel in his hair for school.. and he is soooo not a gel type of guy!
Luke, on the other hand, is sporting the faux mohawk with gel!
Also, this year, Hannah started her team, Hannah's Bananas, that the boys are now a part of! (with yellow and brown shirts and all! )
We want to make a difference and be a part of such a great event. We are going to join our good buddy Luke to honor his sister, Hannah, and many other children, and raise money for childhood cancer.
We are shaving our heads shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
We know there are plenty of worthy causes out there, but if you have a few dollars to donate to this one, we would appreciate it.
Please do not feel obligated to donate, we just wanted to let you know what we are doing..
If you cannot donate, then please say a special prayer for everyone battling cancer and for our survivors!
Thank you for your consideration and support.
Love to you all,
Jack and Luke
