I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tech Valley Geeks

Thank you for taking a moment to support this worthy cause. I know how generous you are with your time and expertise. Now I am asking you to make a donation to support our fundraising efforts which will culminate with a head-shaving event on March 23, 2013. This is my 2nd year as a volunteer with St. Baldrick's Foundation to fight childhood cancer. I've created the "Tech Valley Geeks" team to raise funds. This event was created by friends Mike & his wife Stacy DeBritz after their 11 daughter was diagnosed with childhood cancer. Mike is a Capital Region business owner, father of 4 and member of the community. Fortunately, their daughter is now cancer-free. But other children in our midst are fighting for their lives. Last year we surpassed our goal. But, I need your help this year. St. Baldrick's is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So in essence, I'm not asking you to support me. I'm asking you to support these kids. Please join the "Tech Valley Geeks" team, volunteer to shave your head, (you have to experience this first hand to truly appreciate how much the kids with cancer apprecite this act of solidarity : ) ...give online, or donate by phone or mail. Thank you in advance! - Rebecca
