I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: 4 Fried Chickens And A Coke

Hello everybody! I am writing you today to ask your help in support of St. Baldricks, a charity that raises money for childhood cancer research through donations made to see a chump like me shave my head in public! I'm sure that has to be worth some tax-deductible donations in and of itself. But just seeing me embarrass myself on stage while my luscious locks are shaved off is not the only reason I am asking for your help in this endeavor. Unfortunate children who have cancer lose their hair going through chemotherapy and we want to show some solidarity. My cousin Eric, who is organizing the event at John Barleycorn in Schaumburg on Friday, March 6 where I will join the ranks of Michael Jordan, Brian Urlacher, Mr. Clean and King Kong Bundy, dubs this the 'couch potato' fundraising event. I'm not running a 5K. I'm not doing a walk. I'm not dressing in a penguin suit. Nope. I'm going to do what I do best. Going to a bar and drinking and making a fool out of myself. The only difference this time is I will be shaving my head and actually doing some good for a change. Since St. Baldrick's was founded, it has raised over $50 million for cancer research. And it grows more and more by the year. Last year alone St. Baldrick's raised nearly $17.5 million. And last year's Schaumburg event raked in over $176,000, a total we hope to dwarf this year. For more information on St. Baldrick's go to www.stbaldricks.org. I know were all broke as hell these days, but keep in mind that every little bit helps, and every little bit is tax deductible. So if you would rather give you money to kids fighting cancer as opposed to the government, this is a great place to start. Anything you can afford, no amount is too small, will get us one step closer to curing this horrible disease. To make a donation on my behalf, which will give you free reign to laugh at how ridiculous I look bald, please click the 'Donate Now' button! To watch the carnage in person, please attend the event on Friday, March 6 at John Barleycorn in Schaumburg from 3-to-8 p.m. You don't have to shave your head. You just have to watch us shave our heads, laugh, and point at us. There will be raffles, a silent auction with an impressive roster of goodies, beer, food, music and Lord knows what else. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to e-mail me or hunt me down on Facebook or MySpace and I'd be glad to fill you in. Hope to see you all pitch in for such a worthwhile cause. Thank you. Paul P.S.: For those of you who have already donated, thank you so much for your support. But we need more support with only a week left until the big day! Feel free and pass the link on to anybody you know that may be interested in helping out. Like I've said, every little bit helps!
