Leah Emily Anderson is my niece. She was diagnosed with a brainstem tumor in December of 2011 and received her angel wings on December 12, 2012 at the age of 7. Leah was an amazingly bright, sweet, and loving child. She was also the funniest kid I know. In the last year of her life, she taught me so much about courage, grace, empathy, faith, positivity, and strength. Not her diagnosis itself, but the way she chose to live after it, changed everything about the way I look at life and live my own life. I will forever be grateful to her. That's why I'm shaving my head to honor her life and attempt to raise money to help other fighters like her. Please help me honor Leah and continue her fight to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer. The research that we need to save children like her is grossly underfunded so donating to organizations like the St. Baldrick's Foundation is crucial. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail to help support these kids and provide all these fighters with hope. Thank you so much! Leah, I love you, I miss you, and I wish you were here.
