I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
S.M.I.L.E.
I am a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin. Last year my sister Sian shaved her head for this cause:

This year, it's my turn! I have had the opportunity to work with children with cancer this year and am continually amazed by their strength. I'm donating my hair and shaving my head to raise funds to find a cure for cancer. More importantly, I'm shaving my head to tell these kids that they are not alone. Although I may not be afflicted by cancer, I will fight with them. I shave my head for all those who have fought this battle: for those who won, for those who lost. I shave my head for those who are fighting this battle today. I shave my head for those who will one day fight this battle. I choose to be bald in the hopes that one day children will not have that choice made for them.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Donate and start making a difference today. Thank you!
P.S. My Shave Day will be the day after my birthday, so make this the best birthday by helping me reach (and surpass) my fundraising goal!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
