My Story

Olivia is now in remission (yahoo!) after receiving treatment for Medullablastoma - surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy - which she went through with extremely good grace and high spirits most of the time. In fact she was upset after her final treatment that there would be no more 'girl's nights out' at the hospital! She has made great strides in her recuperation since surgery and is back on her bicycle again, shooting hoops, kicking balls, even scootering. Our Liv is an optimistic, determined, loving, sometimes stubborn little girl who loves everyone she meets, especially those who helped her get better - doctors, nurses, therapists, child life specialists, teachers and everyone in between. She loves drawing, particularly hearts and butterflies, singing, dancing and playing with her brothers. She is really looking forward to seeing her family get their hair shaved...
