Blade use to always have short hair. One day he decided to grow his hair out. After no hair cuts in almost 2 full years it's pretty long! About 3 months ago, I asked Blade how long was he going to let it grow? He said, "Until St. Baldricks". Tammy and I were instantly very proud of what our son just said. His idea! I asked him if he cared about being bald. He answered, "It's more important" (St. Baldricks). Childhood Cancer research, is "more important"! Blade is right, and we are very proud that he has chosen St. Baldricks to get his hair cut!
Blade is an amazing kid. Starting with he is an A-Honor Roll student, in the 3rd grade. He is the starting goalie for his (local) Las Vegas Jr. Wranglers travel hockey team. Also the starting goalie for his triple AAA hockey team, the Arizona Bobcats. He has (3) championships, one with the AZ. Bobcats, and two with the Jr. Wranglers. All that pales in comparison to the fact that he has a heart of gold, and wants to help the fight of childhood cancer. Message from Blade: I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
