All,
This will be the third year I will be raising money and shaving my head to support the research of childhood cancer. For those of you who don't know the whole story about how I started doing this, I will give you a brief overview.
In 2005 an extremely close friend, Andrew Staszewski, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma and eventually passed away in 2006 after a hard fought battle with the disease. Since then every March the Collingswood Fire Department, where Andy was employed, puts on the St. Baldricks event. This year is no different and we hope to raise even more money. For me, it is a little more personal, it is also a way for me to honor/remember Andy and his friendship.
I know in these hard economic times it might be hard to come up with some excess money, but any donation, no matter the size is greatly appreciated. Plus besides the satisfaction of knowing that you have donated to a good cause, you get to see me bald for a few weeks (although you can't make fun of me for it, I promise you will still get a good laugh out of it).
Once again thank you for visiting my page.
