I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi! My name is Piper and I am in the 3rd grade. I went to a St. Baldrick's event last year and was inspired by my Uncle Brendan who raised almost $2,000! I love to play soccer, swim fast and play with my friends. I feel lucky to be healthy and very sad for kids who are sick. I am shaving my head on March 2nd to help raise money for childhood cancer research. Please donate money to help sick kids get better. Thank you! (From the parents) Shaving your head for childhood cancer research takes guts... and we are in AWE of our 8-year-old!!. After witnessing the event last year, Piper said she was going to do it in 2013- completely on her own volition. Assuming it was just a passing whim, we didn't push the issue. But every few weeks she would continue to mention it, say how excited she was, talk about raising money and local awareness, etc. So our amazing daughter... beautiful, empathetic, and strong-willed (2 sides of that coin I promise!) will be shaving her head for cancer research. We are SO proud of our little Pi. Thank you to all for supporting her and this extremely worthy cause. We all should be thankful for what we have.
