I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Clarksons

Hey guys, My name is Andrew Clarkson and I am a 1st time Team Captain and 1st time Shavee! I heard about the event from my sister and fellow Shavee Emily. We decided to make this a family event and brought our dad (though he may not have much hair) onto the team. The reason behind me taking on the shave is my mother, Dawn. She passed away this year of Colon Cancer. The whole experience from diagnosis to her passing was rough (really rough). I feel very strongly that if I can take a simple step like raising a little money by shaving my head to do even a little good for children battling with cancer, my choice to do so is a simple one.

My Roles:

  • Shavee
  • Team Captain

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
