I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Max Effort

My name is Stauffer Taylor. I am a freshman at the University of Illinois. Last semester I had the pleasure of meeting my now good friend Mike Holz. Mike informed me about an event he participated in at his high school with the organization called St. Baldrick's. Seeing how excited he got to raise as much money as he could was inspiring. I donated to his cause but I felt as though I could do much much more. I am doing whatever I can to help spread the word about Mike and how he is choosing to shave his head in honor of children who don't get that choice. I said from the start that I would love to shave my head to raise awareness and continue to spread the word even after the event. And I plan to do so, however, I felt my efforts would be put to better use getting the information about Mike, the one with a full head of hair, out to everyone I could. If you are reading this then my page has found you somehow and that is great! I know all the money goes to the same cause but this page is just another way I want to share Mike's inspiration for this event. You can find his page in the team Max Effort. Don't let my goal fool you, I truly believe that this event can be bigger than anyone ever imagined. Mike's page already has over a thousand dollars raised and is still growing. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you feel so compelled please donate! Every little bit helps!

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
