I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Locks for Pittsburgh Tots

My daughter Mary, has answered the call to be a hero! Every year people around the country shave their heads for a charity called St. Baldrick's. Her Uncle Sam has shaved his head 5 years in a row! I, her mom, am a Make-A-Wish Volunteer and she is always asking me about the kids I go to see and the wishes I grant. A lot of my wish kids have some form of pediatric cancer. We talked about how some little girls and boys lose their hair when they are sick. I asked her if she would be willing to do something nice for one of those kids and cut her beautiful, long locks! She said..."SURE!" Pretty awesome for an almost 5 year old. She will be cutting 10 inches of her hair to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. The hair that will be cut will also be donated to "Locks of Love." So she is raising money not only for kids with cancer through St. Baldrick's but will also be donating her hair to one of those children! DOUBLE DONATION! We are so proud of her! Please support her with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Something as little as $5 will go a long way! This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we are really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
