I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: In Memory of Deen President

HAIR ,to most people, is a security blanket. It makes a statement about who you are! Everyone is striving for long luscious, flowing hair. To kids with cancer, hair means a road to recovery! All these kids want is to be healthy and live a long, happy, disease free life. To enjoy the every day life that I take for granted. When they go out in public with no hair, due to treatment, they know people are staring and thinking “oh that poor child has cancer”. Should those two words ever have to be in the same sentence? CHILD…CANCER…! I don’t think so!! We need to find the cure! As a sophomore in high school, I choose to support finding a cause, and becoming a shavee, will help bring awareness to the ST. Baldrick’s foundation, so that money can be raised to continue the research this disease needs to be stopped! A BALD HEAD shows these young people that they are being supported, they are not alone, and that there is HOPE! I am hoping by now , you understand why I choose to help raise money for this cause. In this materialistic world, shouldn’t the priority be life, not things? I know that in the past year everyone is out asking for donations, I hope that you will find it in your heart to donate, whatever, amount you can, because all of the pennies, dimes, dollars and thousands add up to help fund the research needed to stop cancer. PLEASE HELP TO SLOW OR EVEN STOP THE SPREADING OF THIS LIFE-THREATENING DISEASE!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
