I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Be the Match

Hi Every One, This is my fifth year with St. Baldricks. It all started with a poster that I saw at a Starbucks and a call out to two of my best friends William Trujillo and David James Trujillo. David James is a child hood cancer survivor and a bone marrow recipient . I am truly honored and blessed to be a Marrow Donor Consultant for the Be the Match marrow donor registry of South Texas Blood & Tissue Center. The Be the Match registry helps patients with Leukemia, and other Blood Cancer/Blood Disorders that are in need of a Bone Marrow or Adult Stem Cell transplant. We help find matches for patients when they cannot find a matching donor within their family. Please go to bethematch.org for more info. TAKE ACTION and register. I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. I am shaving my head this year in honor of Ryan Calderon, an 8 year old that has been battling leukemia since the age of 4. Ryan has been in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. No one in Ryans Family was a match for him. I am very excited to say that Ryan has found a match from an unrelated donor. The donor is currently being tested to ensure they are healthy enough to donate. Stay Strong Ryan!! To find out more about Ryan please visit ryanswarriors.com. Please donote on behalf of my head!!
