I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I know that alot of you are curious as to why I decided to shave my head this year and honestly there are alot of small reasons why. My main response to this is because I love kids. I work with them at least 3 times a week and i have a handful of them that share my same blood. Although I haven't lost someone close to me from cancer, I can still imagine the pain that it causes. The fact that this disease has no cure sometimes is the reason why people feel this pain. I feel that no child should have to undergo some- thing as scary, hurtful, and sometimes uncomprehendable as cancer. I know in my heart that if one of the kids that i have grown to love so dearly was ever diagnosed, the hair on my head wouldnt mean a thing. Therefore, I want to shave off every last strand of my hair to raise money for a cure, show off the true beauty of being bald, and to prove to everyone that the life of a child is more precious to me then any other thing in this world.
