Hafa Adai and good morning to you all! With so many people who I cross paths with on a daily basis, in person and online, I thought it would be helpful to attempt to commit to a good cause and see how well I am able to pass the word along. So, here it goes...
My name is Justin Guzman (as you can tell, because it says it next to this note). I am attempting to raise as much funds, even if it is just a little bit, for the cause to fight cancer. At the climax of this process, I will be donating the hair in which so many of you are familiar to seeing me with (hidden by my bandana). The organization that is sponsoring the event is the St. Baldricks Foundation, which is established to help those children and young adults who have been stricken by Cancer. As some of you may know, I have been growing my hair for about two years, just to do something different. During the time that my hair grew, it helped me gain insight into what women go through on a daily basis of showering, getting ready, and taming the hair. Let's be honest, hair can be a headache!
On a serious note, my journey with the hair will come to an end on Saturday, October 22, 2011. The event will be held from 10AM to 2PM and will be located at the Guam Premier Outlets (GPO). There are terrific organizations already signed up to support this amazing cause. The organization that I am representing is the Guam Photographers Group, which is a locally based community of photographers looking to help others with understanding the beauty of photography/videography. Although I started late, I am making it a point to get the word out as much as possible to raise as much as I possibly can to support the cause. I invite everyone to look at the website and help donate (even if it is just $1). Every little bit helps and no donation is turned away. Feel free to visit and explore the cause.
And, if you should be in the area on Saturday, October 22, 2011... feel free to stop by to watch the 'separation process'. I hope you are able to contribute, even if it is just a little.
I am dedicating this contribution to Jinky Javier Incencio-Roberto & Joy Jocson & all others who are stricken with cancer. I would like to thank you all for your time in reading this message.
Sincerely,
Justin Guzman
Thank you!
