After making a recent hospital visit for a general checkup I happened on the Childrens cancer treatment center. There were numerous young children with covers on thier heads and who were walking slowly or with their parents nearby to help them when needed. What really struck me was that these kids cant have a normal life because they are fighting just to stay alive. When I was their age my friends and I were playing every day, driving our parents nuts, and without a care in the world. The last thing I was worrying about was being sick. Those days are long past for me but I want to give kids with cancer hope they will not only survive but have the chance to raise some hell as they grow.
I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with these kids who are fighting cancer, and to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
