I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

3/15/08: I am signing up as a eleventh hour shavee. This is my sixth year of shaving for St. Baldrick's. I am doing this so as to maintain a continuity of my support for this outstanding cause as well as to remind myself that there is no taking a break when it comes to cancer. It so happens I just lost a college mate to leukemia. The fight to find a cure must go on. Having young children suffer such afflictions or, worse, losing them to such a disease is devastating, and that kind of suffering must not be allowed to go on. The sooner the scourge is ended the better. Please support my efforts with an eleventh hour donation if you can. Actually, your contribution is welcome at any time. Thanks for visiting my shavee page, and thanks for your continued support to this cause! 3/17/08: Update - As my steady supporters and a few new ones have already contributed over $1,500 (including corporate matches to come) over just one weekend, I have been emboldened to move the goal up from the original $1,000 to $2,000. For a fine cause like this, the more the better, don't you think? If you find that even the new goal has been passed, don't let us be surprised. Let's just keep going!!!
