I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Wow!!! I feel so good to stand along side, and support kids with cancer. It was a great experience raising money for St.Baldricks. My school, Oak Prarie Junior High, had a goal of raising $10,000, we ended up raising over $14,000!!! We had a hugh assembly at school, with about 10 people from Sports Clips to give us our shave, or cut some of the girls hair...at least 10 inches. We had Irish music playing, some Irish dancers. We even had one of our teachers dye his hair pink...only to be shaved off later. We also learned about some kids with cancer, and the tough road they have faced...but won. I also have a teacher who is facing cancer. She is GREAT! I am going to shave my hair every year in her honor. Thank you to everyone that helped me, our school, or another St.Baldricks event. Powell
