I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

While waiting for the elevator in my dorm I noticed a new flyer on the wall, a shavee and cancer patient were pictured and while reading the flyer I felt connected to the cause. I talked to some friends about participating to see what they would think, I had their support so I made this profile page. After talking to Aunt Robin and Mother I started handing out my own flyers and made an event page on facebook. Donations began to come in and today, not even 3 weeks later, I am past my goal! I am very delighted to be part of something bigger than myself! I lost my stepfather to cancer in highschool and even though he was not a child he had not made it to 40. I am all to familiar with the feeling that cancer can put into a familys heart, I know he'd be proud that I've joined the fight for a cure. I would like to thank everyone who has donated, who is supporting me, and who has told someone else about St. Baldricks. After becoming part of this fight I have realized that anything is possible when your heart is in it.
