I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Dad and Lad

This will be my 6th St. Baldrick's event. Like most people, I wish that there would not have to be a need for curing childhood cancer, or any cancer. But there is and we all need to try and do what we can to help those in need. The money that is raised by St. Baldrick's that goes to the people finding the cures is making a difference. More kids are are getting helped because of your donations and that is a good thing!! I hope you can donate to me at this event. But I'll be happy if you donate to anyone at this event. A few years ago when the Dad and Lad team was formed, Channahon had an event and there was less than 20 shavees and most of them were just old guys like me. The next year, Channahon did not have an event and the Dad and Lad team had to take a road trip to participate. Now for the third year in a row, there will be close to 100 shavees! It is almost getting to be were us old guys are the minority, and that is great to see! There are moms and sisters getting their heads shaved, cubs scouts, a football team and many others jumping into the shavee chair! That is great to see all these people making the sacrifice all trying to raise money to help find a cure and end childhood cancer! Please support one or more of us in this battle! I do too. It has been 9 years since Devyn went to the Lord. She would have been 19 years old this year! Her family and friends miss her dearly every day! I would think she smiles a lot at these events! But also probably sheds a tear knowing that some will join her.
