I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Joey

Hello friends and family! It is that time of year now for me to begin my efforts in raising money to help conquer kids' cancer. Many of you have graciously supported this endeavor in the past and for that I am grateful. Your support this year will mean even more to me as this cause has become very personal and not just a "fun thing to do and get a free haircut". This past summer a good friend of ours (and to many of you) learned their youngest son was facing a brain tumor. Joey has faced this challenge with amazing courage and strength that is typical of the noblest of warriors....oh yeah, did I tell you he's 6!....But for those of you who know Brian and Becky (parents) and Sam (big brother) you know they are the epitome of courage and strength.

So I realize that times are tight and if a financial contribution isn't possible this year I understand, however make this promise to me that you will take 5 minutes to learn about St Baldrick's, read about Joey and say a prayer for the kids who are fighting for their lives. If prayer ain't your thing then remember these favorite quotes : "You make a living by what you earn, you make a life by what you give." ..."The central purpose of each life should be to dilute the misery in the world."

Even better is to join Allan and Jaden Hilsinger with me on "Team Joey" and get yer grape shaved as well! />

You can click on the blue "Team Joey" and it will direct you to that page if you want to donate there. Thanks for your time!
