I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear friends and family,
I will be shaving my head to help raise money for children with cancer. Each year 160,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer, of those, 20% will not survive. I have always had a special place in my heart for children. I have volunteered with organizations such as the IU13 and St. Jude’s; that being said, I thought that this would be a wonderful way to help. Cancer, needless to say is a horrible disease that debilitates numerous family everyday. My uncle passed away after battling cancer for years back in the late 90’s, so I personally have seen the devastation cancer leaves in its wake. Hopefully, one day soon no family will have to suffer the pain of dealing with cancer. This is not like a “Locks of Love” charity where the hair will be donated, to do that my hair would have to be 10 inches long and that would just be crazy for me! Instead, the money raised goes towards cancer research. So I ask you, please stand in solidarity with me as I shave my head. Of course, I do not expect you to have your head shaved; (unless you would like to) instead I ask that you donate money. Any amount of money donated is very greatly appreciated! I thank you once again for your help, thoughts, and donations!
Thank you,
~Matt Youssef
