Dear Friends and Family,
The Walnut Creek Police Department is coordinating a St. Baldrick’s Foundation event at the Civic Park Community Center in Walnut Creek (across from City Hall) on May 4, 2010 from 430-830PM to raise funds for childhood cancer research. More than 160,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year. Despite tremendous progress, cancer remains the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S., Australia, and Canada. We’re out to help change that!
Since St. Baldrick’s began in 2000, it has raised more than $83 million, and has grown into the world’s largest fundraising event for childhood cancer. The Foundation made more than $12 million in grants last year alone, to some of the top pediatric cancer researchers working today, and also to many young doctors who will be the research experts of tomorrow. There are numerous ways you can help. If you would like to sponsor me as I go under the clippers and shave my head (in solidarity with kids battling this terrible disease), then please click on the following hyperlink:
Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank You all for your efforts.
