I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: It's Only Hair

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: It's Only Hair

I am exceedingly excited to be shaving my head this year with my family and faux cousin. Last year I was very hesitant on doing this and realized shortly after that I had missed out on a really unique experience. This year after having talked to our Team Captain, Sarah and Lisa (Sarah and Emily's mother) I was inspired and in awe of their testimonies. Hearing their stories from their experience last year moved me to join. There will be people who look at me strangely and ask why on earth I did such a thing. Others will support me 100 percent. To be perfectly honest and quite clear I do not care what others will think. I will not be doing this for them. I will however, be doing it for my cousin Emily, who I adore and love along with the other children in the world who have or might have an unsure future. My life quote is "Be the change you wish to see in the world" by Gandhi and I deeply believe that this is one of those moments. After all, "It's Only Hair" and every child from every racial and economical background deserves to see their dreams come true. So please join us either by donating as little as a $1.00, spreading the word, shaving your head with us or by coming out to support us on our big day. Sincerely, Diana
