I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Fuzzy MD's

For entirely selfish reasons (cost, convenience, I really like bad haircuts, etc...), I've had a lot free self-inflicted super-short haircuts and near-shaved-heads over the past few years. It's about time, though, that I find a good and humanitarian reason to use that pair of clippers in the bathroom cabinet. What started out as laziness has now become purposeful: my hair's been growing out for the past couple months, and is now more fro-like than it has been in a very long time. At first I just didn't want to take the trouble to cut it, but when I started to think about joining my SLCH brethren (can brethren refer to a woman? It sounds like "brother," so I picture a group of guys, but we aren't 100% guys...there's Kate. And Kevin.) in supporting pediatric cancer research I consciously held off on giving it a much-needed trim. Soon these flowing locks will be gone...those of us who can't do it at the main event in St. Louis on Saturday, March 8, will be getting clipped on Friday, March 7.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
