I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: $GA Villains

As a senior and student body president in my last year at Olympic Heights High School, I have once again been given the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than myself. For the past three years, I have been privileged to participate in the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising program for childhood cancer research. This year, I have become even more entitled for I am one of the chairs in planning this miraculous event. Throughout Olympic Heights' 6 years of participation in this fundraiser, we have single handedly raised over $250,000 for children's cancer research. That's a quarter of a million dollars! This year, our event will be held on March 25th and although I will not be shaving my head, I am once again raising awareness and funds for the cure. I don't contribute because I have to, or because it's the "right thing to do," I do it because, in my lifetime, I want to be able to see that the cure has been found and I was among the many that chose to make a difference. I do it so that as I grow older, I will never have to lose another friend or family member to cancer. I do it so that those around me feel as inspired as I am to make an effort. I am asking that you please consider donating generously to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. By donating and being involved, we are playing a large part in eradicating children's cancer. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating as generously as possible. Please understand that NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL and every ounce makes a difference!
