Hello everyone,
YOU CAN STILL DONATE, EVEN A FEW DOLLARS WILL HELP!
I shaved my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research.
I've decided to participate in the St. Baldrick's fundraiser also to honor one of my friends and fellow firefighters daughter, Macy.
In March 2008, Macy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney. She completed aggressive chemo and radiation therapy. At the end of treatment, the CCSK had spread to her brain. She went through surgery and additional therapy and spent the summer of 2009 cancer -free. In September 2009, it was discovered she developed AML (Leukemia), requiring additional chemo and a stem cell transplant. Recently during the stem cell transplant, another CCSK tumor was found on her spine and removed. She is currently receiving additional chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
You can read Macy's story at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/macybellaganz
The fundraiser is, March 13, 2010 at Prarie Bluff Gold Course in Lockport . Please follow the link below to my St. Baldrick's fundraising page and donate whatever you can and if you don't get this email until after the event, it's still OK to donate afterward.

Any donation is greatly appreciated, even a few dollars will help.
Thank You!!!!
In the US , more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
