I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Lettuce Water
So you are probably reading our team name and thinking to yourself what the heck does Team Lettuce water mean?! We don't blame you it's a weird name, however I will explain it to you. When my older sister was diagnosed with cancer at age 11 my younger sister and I ( we were 7 and 8 at the time) decided to try and make a cure. For some reason I thought lettuce and water were the healthiest things a person could consume back in the day and decided it was the best medicine ever. So my little sister Taryn and I concocted a cure made out of lettuce water and various other healthy ingredients we found around the house. We then tried to get our sister Caitlin to drink some, I don't remember her taking much of a liking to it, however she did win the battle against cancer and is now earning her PHD in Occupational Therapy at University of Chicago in Illinois. So maybe there was some magic to that drink, either way my friend Lisa and I intend to raise $3,000 to shave our heads and help the professionals find cures to end childhood cancer once and for all.
