I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Stay Strong Stan

How much would you pay to see me shave my head to help conquer kid's cancer? Please help hit my goal of $3000 by making a donation today. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. It's that time of year and I will be shaving my head for the fourth year in a row (hosting my 3rd event). Last year my friends helped me raise more then $3200 for my head, with our event total hitting $74,503! The Village of Romeo will once again be hosting the event on March 13. I hope you can also attend the days festivities, that will run from 12-6pm. Last year we had more then 3000 people come out for the day. While there are a lot of great efforts in the fight for a cure for cancer, childhood cancer research is still drastically underfunded. Treatments designed for adults can not always work with an adjusted dose on a small child. The mission of the St. Baldrick's Foundation is to raise awareness and funds to cure kids' cancer by supporting childhood cancer research and fellowships. Cancer is the number 1 disease killer of U.S. children. Worldwide, 160,000 children are diagnosed each year. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is the world's largest volunteer driven fundraiser for childhood cancer research. St. Baldrick's began as a challenge between three Irish reinsurance executives who wanted to give back to the community and created St. Baldrick's. The first St. Baldrick's event took place on March 17, 2000 in New York City and since then it's seen: Over $69 million raised Over 108,000 heads shaved - more than 8,600 women
