I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

***Update 10MAR 2009**** Hey Everyone, Thank for supporting me and OWL in our efforts to raise money to benefit St. Bladrick's Foundation and Cancer Research. Today thanks to friends and family, brothers and sisters, and co-workers. From high school friends, college and fraternity, police officers and firemen, I met my goal of raising money for St. Baldrick's. This doesn't mean I can't raise more than my goal. If you haven't donated and would like to, just click the link or let me know and I'll help out. Thanks for your help! You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. This is the first time I have done this as a member of OWLVFD. So I wasn't sure what to do or expect. I set my goal at $500.00. But in just two days and 9 donations, my friends came through and exceeded that goal. So, since so many of you have yet to donate and I believe (as do many of you) that this is a worthy cause, let's see what we can do! I adjusted my goal to $1000.00. I'm not expecting people to donate huge sums... just whatever you can give. Every little bit will help me reach my goal and is one more dollar for the kids than we had before! To make a donation, click on "Donate Online" or "Donate by mail or phone." Thank you for your support!
