I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Fact Childhood cancers are the #1 disease killer of children - more than asthma, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and pediatric AIDS combined. Fact On the average, 12,500 children and adolescents in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer each year. Fact Today, up to 75% of the children with cancer can be cured, yet, some forms of childhood cancers have proven so resistant to treatment that, in spite of research, a cure is illusive. Why would I open my plea for assistance with three sad facts? The same reason I would shave my head bald .To get your attention. I am again shaving my head for Childhood Cancer. Last year, I and my friend Jack Berry, Lt. of the Franklin Park Fire Department, together raised over $1000.00. I am certain that the economy has hurt each of us this past year, it has me. However, I am still humbly, yet boldly asking for you help. As a Father of three I could not even attempt to imagine what the parents, much less the Children would have to endure. My Mother always told me, " always give from a warm hand " I am sending this to my friends for a reason. Those who know me know I don't hard sell anything. You can clearly see I am behind this 100%. Thank you in advance for your support! Dean-o
