I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Collins

Hey everyone! This is my second year shaving my head for a great cause. I will be having my head shaved with a bunch of my co-workers and we are now out on the hunt for donations to this fantastic event. If anyone would like to donate or even join you can do so right here on this site. To see what Team Brent Has done so far please visit there website at WWW.TEAMBRENT.COM <----Information By TeamBrent----> The mission of the St. Baldrick's Foundation is to raise awareness and funds to cure childhood cancer. Participants shave their heads in exchange for donations towards research. It is a simple concept, a fun time and a very effective fundraiser - since its founding in 2000, the St. Baldrick's Foundation has raised $34 million with headshavings in 18 countries. In 2005, we created TeamBrent, to honor our son Brent by fighting cancer alongside him. Over the past three years TeamBrent has shaved over 500 heads and raised $767 thousand for childhood cancers everywhere through its participation in St Baldrick's. Let's continue to make a difference and have some fun while we do it. JOIN US This year's event will be held on Thursday March 13th at the Bear & Grill (Fairfield). The event will be very family friendly from 5-7. It will begin at 5 with a live remote from 95.9 the Fox radio, head shaving by the Total Look Salons and Academy, and "head painting" by www.CTFaceArt.com. We will stop shaving at 7:30pm for speeches MC'd by sportscaster Deb Kaufman. Shaving and head painting will start up again after the speeches, with music and dancing by Vertigo. A guaranteed good time! Sign up to shave or just come watch. Local business owners of Children of the Sound, Keough's Hardware, the Nauti Dolphin, the Little Gym of Fairfield, along with the Sacred Heart University Hockey team; the Fairfield Firefighters Local 1426; and many more area residents have already signed up to shave their heads for the cause. Further thanks go to Infinite Web Designs, FactSet, A&S Wood Floors, suzysaid.com, Blue Tulip and High Ridge Printing. Visit Blue Tulip in Fairfield on March 13th prior to heading to the Bear & Grill. Shop between 3 & 5pm and mention TeamBrent/St Baldrick's & Blue Tulip will donate 15% of all purchases to the cause. Thank you to the Field Restaurant who grew the event to the point that the town could no longer handle its size. This year we are adding additional events: Boston (The Greatest Bar, March 6th; London (The Last, Tuesday Mar 8); Singapore. TeamBrent has other events in CT at Quality Time (Meriden), Swift Middle School (Oakville) & Elizabeth Shelton School. For more information on why we shave, go to www.TeamBrent.com
