I am so happy to once again raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer and the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Three years ago I was honored by becoming a Knight of the Bald Table for all my years of service with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Out of all the community service I am a part of, this is the one I am most proud of because of all the good it does to help people battling with cancer. My sister, Alexa, is a cancer survivor. She was only three years old when she was diagnosed and she is now 22. Even though I wasn't born yet when she was sick, I know all about what she went through and I cannot imagine how scared she was at such a young age. It makes me so sad, but at the same time it gives me strength knowing how strong she is. She is a real life superhero. I want to be just like Alexa when I grow up. She recently graduated from Sacred Heart University with her nursing degree. I can't believe she is now an RN in a hospital. I think it is amazing that she is choosing to help people the same way that they helped her. She always tells me how the nurses that worked with her had a huge impact on her recovery. She works so hard and I want to make her proud. My Aunt Sherrie passed away from a pediatric cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. I am also fighting for adults like my aunt. Please help me reach my goal of raising as much money as I can for the Sagamore event at my mom's school. I am so proud to be a part of this team every year. No donation is too small as every dollar counts, so thank you in advance for supporting this amazing foundation.
