Last year completely blew us away. We set out to raise $1,000 and somehow ended up raising $5,231!
71 people showed up for Shepard in the most meaningful way, and he even received a gold medal for being the #1 fundraiser at the event (we didn’t even know that was a thing!).
This year, he has his sights set on doing it again. We have until May 17th, so if you’ve been thinking about donating, now’s the time.
Shepard will be shaving his head again, bravely as always. Mikey sadly has to sit this one out due to a job hold, but he’ll be there volunteering, and I’ll be performing throughout the day.
Last year, I had a front row seat to it all, and it was one of the most emotional, powerful experiences watching people show up, sit down, and shave their heads in support of kids fighting cancer.
For those who may not know, Shepard has a rare immune deficiency called Job’s Syndrome, affecting about 1 in a million people. He’s been through more hospitalizations and medical challenges than most adults, but we also feel incredibly grateful that he’s able to live the life he does thanks to modern medicine and an amazing team of doctors.
He now goes to Hole in the Wall Gang Camp each summer, where he’s made friends with kids facing all kinds of serious illnesses. At just 8 years old, he’s starting to understand that his life and his voice can make a difference, and he really wants to.
If you’re able to give, it would mean so much to him and to us!
Thank you for being part of this. Truly.
