This year, we’re shaving for a reason that means everything to us.
When Connor was just 18 months old, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Our world changed overnight. We went from normal life to hospital rooms, fear, and so many unknowns.
But because of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Connor was given a chance.
Today, he is 7 years old and thriving. He plays sports, is doing amazing in school, and continues to prove every single day how strong he is.
That’s why Connor chooses to shave his head, to stand in solidarity with kids who don’t get a choice.
St. Baldrick's Foundation raises money for childhood cancer research by having people shave their heads in support of kids going through treatment.
But this year means even more.
Mr. Myers was the teacher who brought St. Baldrick’s to Founders. He was our families favorite teacher and someone who showed up for our family in ways we will never forget, birthdays, events, and moments that mattered, even while he was fighting his own battle with cancer.
Last year, he shaved his head for Connor.
Last week, we lost him.
His family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Baldrick’s, a cause he believed in deeply.
So this year, Connor is shaving not only for kids still fighting… but for Mr. Myers.
We want to honor him the best way we know how, by showing up, giving back, and making this the biggest donation yet.
If you feel called to support, donate, or share, it would mean so much to our family. ?
