I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Parmesan

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

It’s the time of year when we raise awareness and MONEY to end childhood cancer through the St. Baldrick’s foundation.

Dalila (my daughter) has shaved her head 4 times and raised $53,601.00 (and she’s not even a teenager yet!)

She’s taking a break this year, as she (very fairly) would like to start high school with hair.

BUT, she still participating by bringing this cause to her middle school. In fact, she shaved my head in front of the school wide assembly. It was AWESOME. The kids cheered them on and several students were inspired to participate and shave their own heads!

Most of you know how close this cause is to our hearts.

The backstory:

It's been almost 4 years since Martha died. She was our beloved next door neighbor, whom our kids grew up with - wearing down a path in the grass between our homes. She was only 20 years old, and fought so hard to live. She was an incredible artist, cook, potter, and friend. We miss her deeply and talk of her often.

No donation is too small (or too BIG!). It costs millions of dollars for a single research project that could save kids' lives - and it's way underfunded. THANK YOU.

We'd love it if you could give whatever you can, and pass it on to others who would want to get behind this cause. If your company/employer matches donations - ask them to jump on board with this incredible cause.

Thank you for your support!
