Why am I shaving my head?
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won't survive? Sadly my own daughter Jennifer, despite 6 years of treatment, became an angel because of this terrible disease. For Children lucky enough to survive more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each year I am honored to be a part of this wonderful Northport committee. A group of dedicated individuals driven to make a difference for kids with cancer. In addition to my annual head shaving, I also lead a group of Bicyclists on a 90-mile ride to Montauk Point symbolic of the difficult journey of cancer treatment. This year's ride will be on May 9th. Its all about raising critical research dollars to fund St Baldrick's grants. Every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
Together, let's give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
