I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Teddy

Teddy was one of my very close friends growing up. We met when we were in preschool, and played t-ball, soccer and basketball together.

When Teddy was diagnosed with cancer, he never gave up and his spirits were always high. Whether we were just talking in the hospital, or playing video games together, I’ll always cherish the memories I had with Teddy.

Teddy’s father, Bill Gerber, was not only a great friend of my family’s, but someone I always looked up to. Whenever I came home from college or Chicago (where I currently live), I always looked forward to hopefully seeing Bill at least once. His humor and the way he took me under his wing is always something I will remember. Even at my college graduation party, I remember looking over and seeing him sitting at a table with my 10 college friends, whom he’d never even met! Bill was loved by everyone.

This year, I will be shaving my head in memory of Bill and Teddy.

Each shaved head and every dollar donated creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.

By donating to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you will be supporting the best research across the country and giving the gift of hope to kids and families fighting cancer.
