I am helping to raise money for childhood cancer research

For over 40 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Physical Education teacher in the Syracuse Diocese. Every day, I’ve worked with children whose energy, resilience, and joy remind me why kids deserve every opportunity to grow up healthy and strong. This is my second year shaving my head for St. Baldrick’s, and I’m doing it to stand in solidarity with children who are fighting childhood cancer—a battle no child should ever have to face.

As an educator, I’ve always believed in leading by example. Shaving my head is a small sacrifice compared to what these children and their families endure every day, but it’s a visible way to raise awareness, start conversations, and support lifesaving research. I’m honored to support St. Baldrick’s mission and to help shine a light on the courage of these young fighters. Thank you for joining me in raising awareness and hope for a future without childhood cancer.

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
