I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Santa's Sleigh @ Port City

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

I am a survivor...so I know fist hand that cancer sucks. I cannot even imagine the challenges a child and their family faces when they have to battle this disease...I survived because of my faith, my incredible family and friends who were my support system, because of the phenomenal care I received from the medical team that treated me for 7 months and then the 10 years that followed, and because research provided my doctors with some alternatives to help me win the fight...

I lost my sister and best friend to this awful disease. She truly was one of the most amazing humans to walk this earth...a heart of an angel, she was a caring, compassionate, faith-filled woman who never gave up. She was love in its purest sense...I will continue to fight for answers and cures in honor and memory of Murtts as long as I am able...

Please, every dollar counts...so join me in this effort to battle cancer...together, if we can change one outcome for one child, it will be worth it!

Thank you and God Bless.
