I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research

Once again I have committed to have my head shaved for the kids who have been or will be diagnosed with cancer. I've been lucky in my life and together with my wife Marcia we have both received the news that we had cancer. And together with the love and support of so many friends, relatives and others, and the presence of God, we are both in remission.

Facing cancer as an adult is completely different from a child's point of view. Imagine being told that your child had some form of cancer. First, how would you feel? Think about it.

Then, how in the name of God could you explain it to your child? Now, pause and think about explaining it to a child.

World Wide...every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer.

United States...1 in 5 children that have been diagnosed will not survive.

Of those who survive...more than 99% developed chronic health problems by the age of 50.

Real kids need real cures now. Research is necessary to find those cures. Before they turn 20, about 1 in 263 children in the U.S. will have cancer. While 90% of children now survive one type of cancer, there is still no cure. Also, survivors face lifelong effects from the treatments that saved them. More research is needed to give every child a cure and a healthy future.

Together, let’s give kids the lifetime they deserve.

Thank you for your support!
