I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: US Reinsurance Under 40s Group

St. Baldrick’s started 25 years ago and has since become the largest funder of childhood cancer research grants other than the US government, raising over $342M since 2005.

St. Baldrick's is very near and dear to my heart as my dad, John Bender, is one of the founders of the foundation so I have been involved St. Baldrick's all my life from handing out buttons to selling merchandise to becoming a co-organizer, ponytail donator and high school student club coordinator at the Rockville Centre St. Agnes St. Baldrick's Event, which raises between $250,000 and $500,000 each year. I have raised over $35,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to date and am a Crusader for a Cure, having being involved with St. Baldrick’s for over 15 years.

While I am not shaving my head or chopping my ponytail this year, I am continuing to volunteer and fundraise for St. Baldrick’s. I unfortunately cannot make the Rockville Centre St. Baldrick’s Event this year, but started my career in the reinsurance industry this past July after graduating from college and am excited to volunteer and raise money for the reinsurance-led St. Baldrick's Event at Killarney Rose in NYC on March 14th this year.

Worldwide, every two minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer and any donation, big or small, makes a difference in helping find a cure for all childhood cancers. Here is the link to my participant page: https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/1138321/2024. I would greatly appreciate any donations you can make to the foundation and thank you for your continued support for St. Baldrick’s over the years.
