My Story

My daughter Kimi is the bravest person I know. Not only has she battled cancer, but she tells me that she LIKES having cancer. She says that none of the cancer treatments have bothered her, and she especially likes the anesthesia she got with her radiation and the morphine she has been receiving with the antibody treatment (IL-2 and CH14/18). Kimi likes princesses and Harry Potter. She is very bright and funny. She has been kind of a picky eater since she had terrible mucositis during stem cell transplant but is willing to try one bite of just about anything. She loves camping and going to the drive-in. She is very excited about getting a pop-up trailer for her Make-A-Wish.

The Childhood Cancer Ripple Effect

Who's Honoring Me

Help kids take childhood back from cancer — support lifesaving cancer research today.

Children who are fighting or have fought cancer inspire others to be part of the Foundation's mission — to support the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
