I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Frankie

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives. Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Many of you have heard of or met Frankie Knowles, my 2 daughters' best friend since preschool. In 2018, at age 6, Frankie was diagnosed with a, mostly inoperable, pilomyxoid astrocytoma brain tumor. He has been battling this with every bit of strength and determination that a kid...or adult, for that matter... possibly could despite multiple setbacks. I haven't seen many of you since I began growing my hair again (after 15 years) so it may be surprising to you that I'm shaving it for charity but I couldn't think of a better reason...or kid...to do it for.
