I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
I have been given the incredible honor of telling the story of Jackson and the Schmitt family, and it has led to my being inspired to join them, by shaving my head, to raise funds and awareness in finding a cure for childhood cancer. My friend Carrie Schmitt had previously shaved her head for St.Baldrick's, stating "I cannot imagine what it would be like to have a child with cancer" and in March of 2019 her loving, compassionate boy Jackson joined her and shaved his head. In a horrific twist of fate Jackson died of cancer in July of that same year, just a few days after being diagnosed. Cancer takes the lives of more of our kids than any other disease and leaves a cruel life sentence for all left behind. The Schmitt family has turned their "pain into purpose" and are now nationally recognized leaders in fund raising for St. Baldricks. Please help them honor their beautiful boy by supporting me, as I do my small part.

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
